GV II

House and railings. c1830 with minor C20 alterations. Red
brick in Flemish bond, ashlar dressings, hipped slate roof, 2
wall stacks to left, partly external.
EXTERIOR: 2 storeys plus basement, 2-bay front with door to
left having 2 vertical panels and bordered overlight. Set in
plain pilastered surround with moulded cornice on carved
console brackets. Door up 4 stone steps. To left a tall
glazing bar sash. Beneath to the basement a single smaller
sash and to first floor 2 similar smaller sashes. All front
windows have flat wedge ashlar lintels with fluted keystones.
To the left side a semicircular glazing bar stair window has
below a glazing bar sash and to the right a similar window to
ground floor and C20 window above. The sashes have plain
ashlar wedge lintels.
INTERIOR: not inspected.
SUBSIDIARY FEATURES: in front of the property a cast-iron
screen of alternating plain spike and spearhead terminal
railings.
