II
House, now an old people's home. 1812, altered mid C19, with
large mid C20 additions. Yellow brick, with hipped slate roof.
Stacks removed. Bracketed eaves. Windows have rubbed brick
heads. 2 storeys, 3 bays. Front has a slightly projecting
centre with a mid C19 gabled porch with impost band, fielded
6-panel door and fanlight, and a round headed window in each
side. Beyond, single round headed French windows. Above, 3
plain sashes.
INTERIOR has dogleg stair with winder, stick balusters and
ramped and scrolled handrail. Principal rooms have moulded
cornices. Lounge has enriched Classical fireplace with
consoles.
