Public house. Late C17, with C18, C19 and C20 additions.
Coursed rubble, whitewashed, with steep pitched pantile roof,
with catslide roof at rear, and 2 ridge and single side wall
stacks. 2 storeys plus attics, 5 bays. South front has a
central gabled brick addition, rendered, with 4 casements and
a bow window, C20. To its right, a glazed lean-to room. To its
left, a C20 bay window and a door in the return angle. Above,
2 small casements. Above again, a near-central segment headed
dormer. West gable has two C20 3-light casements. Above, to
the right, a single C19 2-light casement on each floor.
INTERIOR has the remains of the former west gable with a
chamfered fireplace surround. Chamfered spine beams and cleft
joists.
