15/60 Gates, screen, piers and wall to Frampton Hall

G.V. II*

Gates, screen, piers and wall. 1725 with C19 extension and alteration. Red brick, ashlar and wrought iron. Pair of wrought iron C18 gates with flanking scroiled panels, supporting an overthrow bearing scrolls and leaves, surmounted by a rabbit (Coney symbol). To either side a low ashiar wall supports a screen of spearhead verticals with central scrolled panel, terminating in C19 brick piers. Beyond low brick walls with matching C19 wrought iron screens and reused C18 screens terminate in shorter C19 brick piers.
