Gatehouse, now outbuilding. Probably late C16. Stone rubble with ashlar.
South elevation and dressings, slate roof. West end has coped gables with
kneelers and flattened peak; east end has gable coped to south. South elevation
of 2 storeys and 3 bays. Hollow-chamfered-mullioned windows. Central chamfered
Tudor-arched through passage; entrance to right has timber lintel. 1st floor
has 3-light transomed windows under dripcourse with small lower projections with
returns. West end has blocked 3-light transomed window with label mould to 1st
floor. Chamfered triangular-headed entrance and later 1st floor entrance up
steps, which block window. East gable end has blocked 3-light window to each
floor; later lean-to privy has 2 holes to seat. North elevation has segmental
arched through passage; window above of 3 round-headed lights, sunk spandrels
and label mould, now blocked. Inserted casement window to east end of ground
floor. Roof has 4 tie-beam and strut trusses.
