4/29 Gate Lodge Caythorpe Court
G.V. II
Lodge Cottage, circa 1900. Sir R. Blomfield. Coursed limestone rubble, ashlar quoins and dressings, stone coped gables with ball ornaments at head and foot, 2 gable stacks, stone slate roof. T-plan. Western front towards the entry is of 3 bays, the right hand pair being in an advanced gable end. Off centre doorways to left with segmental headed glazed door having a drip mould with label stops. To the right are a pair of 2 light mullioned windows with moulded stone surrounds and cornices, with above a similar 4 light window, of which the middle pair of lights is blank. Before the lodge is a flight of steps flanked by walls with coped stone tops.
