BELTON & MANTHORPE SK9137 HIGH ROAD, Manthorpe 1315-0/10/115 (West side) 21/09/79 Nos.7 AND 8 (Formerly Listed as: HIGH ROAD, Manthorpe Nos.1-10 (Consecutive)) GV II
Pair of estate cottages, now houses. Dated 1849, with mid and late C20 alterations. Brick with partly renewed pantile roof and large central ridge stack with coped triple flues, the outer ones set diagonally. First floor band with datestone. 2 storeys; 2 window range. Front ground floor windows are larger. All are C20 2-light casements. Left gable has a C20 lean-to porch. Estate cottages provided for workers on the Belton estate by the Brownlow family of Belton House. (The Buildings of England: Pevsner N, Harris J & Antram N: Lincolnshire: London: 1964-1989: 550).
