HARLAXTON SK8832 POND STREET 1315-0/14/207 (South East side) 24/09/79 No.3 Cherry Tree Cottage GV II
Estate cottage, now a house. Dated 1812, altered c1820-1840, with C20 rear addition. Painted brick with ashlar dressings and slate roof. Central ridge stack with 3 huge round brick flues and heavily moulded ashlar bases and caps. Brick plinth, wooden eaves. 2 storeys; 2 window range of 2-light casements with ashlar surrounds, shutters and leaded glazing. Right return has a C20 window in a C19 ashlar surround. Entrance at rear. This building is one of those built or altered c1790-1820 by George de Ligne Gregory and altered c1820-1840 by Gregory Gregory, successive Lords of the Manor of Harlaxton.
