GV II

House, c1800, rubble stone with stone tiled roof and end wall
stacks. 2 storey, 2-window range of flush 2-light unmoulded
mullion windows with sashes. Central door in flush doorcase. Rear
range is earlier cottage, heightened and altered. Attached to
south side is early C19 Gothic screen wall, apparently designed to
close a view, an ogee stone arch with ball finial adjoining Market
Cross Cottage and length of coped wall to a tall moulded pointed
arch with plain impost blocks, infilled with ashlar walling
converted to village War Memorial.
