War Memorial, unveiled 1923, perhaps designed by Frank T Dear. Portland stone. Battered tower rises from broader square plinth. Implied classical order, with deep frieze and cornice surmounted by set-back cenotaph. Each side with a clock face, and inscribed in turn 'Loyalty', 'Justice', 'Courage' and 'Honour'. One side also inscribed 'Their Name Liveth For Evermore' with a plaque 'To the Memory of the Men of Golders Green who made the Supreme Sacrifice 1914-19181. Another plaque added as a plinth commemorating the fallen of
1939-1945. Very similar indeed to the already listed war memorial to the fallen of Stockwell, (q.v. Lambeth).
