GV II

Farmhouse. Early C19, remodelled in late C19. Plastered cob and rubble, one wall
is slate hung; stone rubble stacks with plastered brick chimney shafts; slate
roof.
L-shaped building facing south. 2-room front block with right (east) end stack.
Rear block at right angles behind left room with stack in wall between serving
back-to-back fireplaces. Stair and entrance in block in angle between 2 wings. 2
storeys with basement to front wing. Symmetrical 3-window front remodelled in late
C19 and includes 16-pane sashes and central first floor 12-pane sash. Cream-
coloured machine brick quoins. Roof is hipped each end. The left (west) side
facing onto farmyard is slate bung and 3 windows, C20 casements except 12-pane
sashes on each floor towards front. Roof hipped each end. East front includes C19
and C20 casements, the earlier with glazing bars. Stair block has tall round-
headed sash with glazing bars on east side and main door on north side, a C19 6-
panel door and incised decoration on reveals and doorcase. Interior not inspected.
It is included for group value being situated opposite the church.
