Maltings and warehouse, now part offices. Late C18 rebuilt 1861, altered 1989. 2 parallel blocks linked by a cross wing. Main block to Raymond Street is warehouse and manufactory, smaller block to north-east is maltings. Flint facing to clunch and brick walls. Red and gault brick dressings. Slate and artificial slate roofs. 3 storeys in 7 bays fitted with 2-light late C20 casements. Blocked loading bay door between bays 5 & 6 (from left) with a coat of arms above inscribed with illegible date. Red brick bands between floors. Gabled roof. North-west gable wall rendered. South-east gable wall with late C20 door and one 2-light casement each floor. Linking piece to maltings set back. 3 storeys in 3 bays. Similar details. Datestone 1861. Gabled roof. Maltings themselves on a T-shaped plan with boarded entrances and 2-light casements without glass. Gabled roofs. Bar of T to north-west with gabled roof and raised malting kiln louvre. INTERIOR: communications between offices and former maltings bricked-in. Roofs late C20. Ground-floor entrance with breeze block partitions. Inserted staircase.
