House. C17, remodelled early C18. Red brick laid in English bond. Plain tiled roofs. 2-storey front range to street with a cross wing running west, the gable of which is visible to right of centre. This rear wing flanks the south side of the entrance passage entered through an archway to the right of the front elevation. Square-topped surround to this entrance with a timber elliptical arch supported on diminutive Doric pilasters. Above is an early C18 flush-frame sash with glazing bars. This bay is broken forward. 5 similar sashes to the remainder of the elevation to the left, none with gauged arches. Timber eaves cornice below gabled roof. The south gable end is carried on a brick kneeler. South gable-end stack and central ridge stack. The internal passage arch is segmental with fielded and panelled timber reveals. 2 early C18 doorways to the elevation of cross wing, that to east with a segmental arch within a moulded eared surround and with a moulded hood. Panelled door. The western doorcase has fluted Doric pilasters and a developed metope frieze. Panelled door. Between the doors are 2 sashes with glazing bars within flush frames, the east one early C18, the other, larger one, a c1750 replacement. Over and adjacent to the carriage arch are 2 casements of c1700. It is reported that recent repairs to rear have exposed timber-framing and a massive stack.
