Farmhouse. Probably late C16 to early C17 with late C20 alterations. Timber-frame entirely finished in render, pantiled roofs and brick ridge stack. Lobby-entry H-plan with two-bay cross-wings at north-east and south- west ends. Cellar, two storeys and attics. South-west elevation has 1:3:1 windows, late C20 casements of two and three lights, casements in gable fronts have segmental heads, attic lights to gables, two glazed C20 doors, one at each side of main range under C20 pantiled canopy, third glazed entry in lean-to attached to left side of left wing. Interior has massive chamfered oak lintols and chamfered stone jambs to each of the two fireplaces served by ridge stack; cellar under north cross-wing; heavy chamfered ceiling beams, those in two principal ground floor rooms of main range. forming nine square panels, triangular doorhead in north cross-wing (RCHM Vol I, p 198).
