Old World Cottage and attached cottage to south

2 Cottages. c.1600. Timber framed with rendered wattle and daub infill under
thatched roof. 2 storeys on brick and flint plinth. Doors to left and right
of centre both C20. 3 C19 and 2 C20 casements to range. Gabled roof with ridge
stack right of centre. Drip shelves at eaves line of both gable heads. Interior
timber frame complete, close studded with middle rail. Bridging beams with tongue
stops and similar bressummer to lounge fireplace. One pair of tie beams on arched
braces survives below roof structure of clasped purlins, collars and arched wind-
bracing.
