Gateways, walls and railings. c1845. Limestone ashlar piers; brick
plinth walls with cast-iron railings and gate. 2 pairs of gate piers
to High Street separated by 5 panels of railings; railings continue
to left and return along Spring Lane to form front boundary of School
House (2 Spring Lane). Gatepiers each have brick plinth and
rectangular shaft with stopped chamfers, cornice and pyramidal cap;
northern gateway has cast-iron gate which matches the railings. The
railings have cresting to bottom and top rails; the intermediate
standards have finials. Included for group value.

Gateways, walls and railings. 1851. Limestone ashlar, brown
brick, painted wrought iron. 2 pairs of gate piers, each with
brick plinth, rectangular ashlar base, rectangular ashlar pier
with moulded cornice and pointed head. Ornate wrought iron
gates. Gatepiers flanked by low ashlar dressed brick walls to
north, south and west, surmounted by ornate railings painted
green. Included for group value only.
