BILLINGBOROUGH BIRTHORPE ROAD TF 13 SW (north side) 5/17B Birthorpe Manor House G.V. II
House. Mid C17, mid C18, late C19. Coursed limestone rubble, limestone ashlar. Plain tiled roofs with stone coped gables, 2 ridge and single gable stacks, and single brick lateral stack to east. U-plan. 2 storeys and garret, 5 bay front with outer, gabled bays projecting far forward, 2 central gabled bays and with single narrow gabled bay attached to left. Central doorway with pilastered doorcase with entablature and panelled door. Doorway flanked by single glazing bar sashes both with segmental heads. Return walls each with single glazing bar sash with segmental head. Left hand bay with cross mullion casement with segmental head and doorway with partially glazed door, beyond. 2 storey C19 canted bay window in right hand bay with central pair of glazed doors with segmental head, flanked by single glazing bar sashes with segmental heads. 3 plain sashes above with segmental heads. 2 small glazing bar sashes to left with single glazing bar sash beyond with large panes and all 3 with segmental heads. Single garret window in right hand gable with single glaing bar sash with large panes and segmental head. Interior not inspected.
