2. In the middle ages this was a Chapel of Ease to Sutton-at-Hone. Pre-Conquest origins, with some mediaeval traces, much restored in the C19. Part pebbledashed and part faced with stone with tiled roof. The tower is part weatherboarded with a broached shingled spire. Chancel with north and south chapels, nave with north and south aisle and west tower. The tower retains 2 Saxon windows. The west end of the nave is mediaeval. The north aisle was rebuilt by E Cresy in 1839. Ewan Christian rebuilt the chancel in 1884. R Merchant rebuilt the nave and south aisle between 1909 and 1922 with Arts and Crafts details. Porch added under west tower in 1909. The interior contains a pulpit dated 1655, the Royal Arms of George II and a good carved chancel screen of 1920.
