TF 04 SW ASWARBY AND SWARBY SWARBY LANE (South side)
4/22 Church Farm House
G.V. II
Farmhouse. C17, early C18, altered C19 and C20. Coursed squared limestone rubble with ashlar quoins and dressings, slate roof with a pair of yellow brick gable stacks. U-plan. 2 storey 5 bay front with moulded plinth. Blocked central doorway now containing a fixed 2 light window with top hung casement. Flanked by pairs of plain casements. To first floor are 5 similar windows. All openings have plain ashlar lintels with keyblocks. To left is an attached service block, single storey and of one bay, now containing a single glazing bar sash with plain ashlar lintel. This block has chamfered late C17 girders, otherwise the house has a cupboard with early C18 raised and fielded panelled doors.
