2. Early Cl8, core probably earlier. Plastered brick. Hipped roof of black glazed pantiles. Two storeys. Five windows. Sashes with glazing bars in moulted casing, first floor right of centre, sash partly with thick glazing bars. Ground floor with side-lights to windows. Two pilastered doorcases with entablatures and fielded panel doors. Two C18 painted brick wings at rear, the westernmost fronts London Road and is stuccoed, two storeys, four windows, sashes with glazing bars, at the end of this wing is Cl9 red brick addition, two storeys, 2 sashes with glazing bars. On the corner is ornate wrought iron inn sign. On east end of front a carriageway through, one sash above with thick glazing bars, and gable ended roof. Adjoining this a long C18 stable range with stuccoed wall facing Exchange Street, on the south side facing yard there are loft and stable doors.
