Millhill Farmhouse
II
A C15-C16 timber-framed and plastered house, originally a hall house, with a cross wing at the west end. The house was renovated and restored in the C20, with modern panel pargetting in traditional patterns, on a brick base. Two storeys. C20 casement windows. Some of the windows are in original window openings, with internal shutter grooves. Roof tiled. At the west end there is a large external chimney stack with tabled offsets, the base is original.
The interior has very heavy closely spaced timber-framing. Both the main block and cross wing have tie beams with braced crown posts.
At the east end a good C16-C17 timber-framed barn has been incorporated. into the house, with modern brick facing and a pantiled roof.
