Crystal Palace, Sydenham, Greater London

A view of the Palace from the south-east with the gardens in the foreground. Designed for the Great Exhibition of 1851 and moved to Sydenham in 1854, the building was made from 4,000 tons of iron and 400 tons of glass. It burnt down in 1936.
