An Updated Research Agenda and Strategy for the Historic Environment of the East Midlands

By David Knight, Blaise Vyner, Carol Allen

This publication represents an Updated Research Agenda and Strategy for the East Midland's historic environment. It builds upon The Archaeology of the East Midlands (An Archaeological Resource Assessment and Research Agenda), published in 2006.

It begins with a review of the research foundations for the region. This is followed by a series of tables aimed at summarising by period, the agenda topics identified by consultation and the strategies agreed and recommended by the region's historic environment community for addressing these.

This document is intended as a resource for all individuals and organisations involved in historic environment research projects in the East Midlands.

More information on the project and associated events, including future conferences can be found on the Trent & Peak Archaeology: East Midlands Research Strategy webpages.
