The Great Hall at Audley End House, Saffron Walden, Essex

The Great Hall of Audley End House looking towards the stone screen and great staircase. The House was built on a palatial scale by Thomas Howard, first Earl of Suffolk and Lord Treasurer to James I, between 1605 and 1614. This property is now in the care of English Heritage (2010).
