Seacoaler at Blackbeach, Lynemouth, Northumberland

Under certain conditions coal from underwater outcrops or from coastal processing plants is washed up onto 'black beaches'. The coal is collected by Seacoalers, who may use horses or bicycles to gain access the beach.
