Remains of Augustinian Priory Gatehouse, Pentney, Norfolk

This 14th century gatehouse is all that remains of an Augustinian priory. It was founded in c1130 by Robert de Vaux. It was dedicated to the Holy Trinity, Blessed Virgin Mary and Mary Magdelene. It was consolidated with Wormegay priory in 1468. It was closed as part of the Dissolution in 1537.
