Ladbroke Grove, Notting Hill, Kensington, Greater London

A K2 telephone kiosk at the southern end of Ladbroke Grove, close to the junction with Holland Park Avenue. The K2 kiosk was designed by Giles Gilbert Scott and introduced in 1926, the year of this photograph. The ironfounders Macfarlane's of Glasgow commissioned Bedford Lemere to take this photograph suggesting that this box in Ladbroke Grove may have been one of the very first to be installed.
