Women of the Navy and Army Canteen Board outside the entrance to Knightsbridge Underground station. The Navy and Army Canteen Board supplied provisions for military canteens during the First World War. It formed the nucleus of the NAAFI, which was established in January 1921. The photograph was taken for Captain Salmon.
