King Edward VII High School, Gaywood Road, Kings Lynn, Norfolk

This school was designed by Basil Champneys. It was begun in 1903 and opened by the king in 1906. It was paid for by a local benefactor called William Lancaster. He was knighted by the king in The Great Hall, on the day the school was opened. The building is an original and striking design by one of the best architects working in the Queen Anne style of architecture.
