Dock entrances, Grimsby, North East Lincolnshire

The Dock Tower is listed Grade I. It was built in 1851-2 by J W Wild for the Grimsby Dock Company to provide hydraulic power to open and close the system of dock gates. The 30,000 gallon water tank installed 247 feet up in the tower gave pressure of 100lb per square inch.
