Church of St Mary Woolnoth, Lombard Street, City of London

This church was designed by Hawksmoor in the English Baroque style of architecture. The interior retains original rich decoration in plaster and wood. There is a strong connection with John Newton, clergyman and slave trader. It is an arresting landmark at the centre of the City of London. Note; at each side of the tower are modern entries to the Underground.
