Broadcasting House, Newcastle upon Tyne, Tyne and Wear

This building was originally a Maternity hospital. It was built in 1826 by the architect John Dobson on land given for free by the Corporation of Newcastle. Dobson gave his services for free. Other expenses were met by public subscription.
