Big Cellars, Gorran Haven, Cornwall

This boatshed dates from the mid 19th century and has few later alterations. It was built from slatestone rubble with brick dressings. It is a 2-storey building facing on to the beach, with a slipway at the front and one at the right hand side. The boatshed is on the ground floor, with lofts over, probably originally net and sail lofts. It is typical of many buildings in Cornish coastal villages that were mainly fishing villages but now rely on tourism.
