Base of Lady Godiva's Cross, Wolverhampton, West Midlands

Base of Lady Godiva's Cross near to Church of St Bartholomew . A plaque on the wall of the church reads: it was erected for the use of itinerant preachers from Dudley Priory by Lady Godiva, the Lady of the Manor of Nether Penn, and was in use until the building of the first church c1200. It is a rare and important survival.
