Barrack room at Calshot Castle, Fawley, Hampshire

A reconstruction of a typical 19th-century gunner's kit laid out for inspection in the barrack room on the first floor of the keep. Calshot Castle was built in 1539-40 as an artillery fort to guard the entrance to Southampton Water. This site is managed by Hampshire County Council.
