This banner is now held at the Betteshanger Social Welfare Scheme Deal Welfare Club, Mill Hill, Deal, Kent. The exploitation of workers by industrialists led to the setting up of Trade Unions. These institutions were established to oversee the wages, hours and conditions of workers and to aid their families in times of need.
