Almshouses, Steeple Aston, Oxfordshire

These almshouses were built in c1660. They were paid for by Brasenose College, Oxford. They have the initials 'SR' carved into them. These probably refer to Dr. Samuel Radcliffe, principal of the college and rector of the parish. They were also once known as 'Radcliffe's Hospital'. They were altered and extended in 1814.
