1. 5018 VINE LANE (East Side) HILLINGDON Cedars House (Formerly listed as The Cedars) TQ 0682 23/430 TQ 08 SE 44/430 8.5.50. II* 2. Circa 1580, north part remodelled C18. Red brick; 2 storeys and attics, 3:1:3 double hung sashes with rubbed flat arches, flush wooden surrounds; 2-light diamond leaded casements with wooden mullions and transoms to attic windows. Central 2 storeys projection; 3 gables with brick coping. 1st floor band. Dentil cornice; old tiles. Modern 1 and 2 storey additions. Rainwater head dated 1620 on north wall. Inside one restored panelled room containing some Elizabethan and Jacobean panelling and a fireplace with carved beam over. Chamfered beams and joists to ceiling. Another room with complete panelling of mid Cl7. Yet another room of linenfold panelling. Side purlin roof, much restored, now opened up as drawing office with original chimney rising through it.
