Row of 3 cottages, probably mid C17 restored later C19 for Rowland Egerton Warburton. Brick-nogged oak frame; clay tile roof. 1 storey plus attics; 3 windows per storey in all. Small framing with posts and rails of large section; small portions of wall rebuilt in brick, at right front corner and around doors of Nos. 38 and 39. Inserted C19 small-pane casements, those to Nos. 38 and 39 with iron opening lights; 3 gabled dormers, that to No. 39 rebuilt C19. Replaced door to No. 37, oak broad-board doors to Nos. 38 and 39 with ornate Arley estate hinges - and latch to No. 39. Flush brick chimney on right gable with plinth and 2 separated diagonal flues; similar ridge chimney with 3 flues. Interiors not inspected, but oak beams are visible.
