WISBECH NORTH BRINK TF 4509 5/143 No. 7 GV II* House built c.1747, possibly designed by Sir James Burrough, master of Gonville and Caius College. Limestone ashlar; slated roof with end stacks. Three storeys with service basement; four 'bays'. Panelled parapet, deep cornice with shaped modillions. Shouldered architraves to four, first and second floor twelve- paned hung sash windows. Rusticated ground floor with three larger, twelve-paned windows with key blocks and fanned stone arches. Entrance to west in recessed round-headed arch with fanlight and eight-panelled door. Original ornamental railings to basement forecourt with gate. Two basement windows and door. Interior has original panelled rooms with pedimented doorcases, original window cases and chimney pieces, original stair with turned balusters. Wisbech Society Annual Report (A.P. Baggs), 1967.
