Enhancement of Early Prehistoric Information Within the Norfolk Historic Environment Record

This project strengthened information about the Early Prehistoric period (Palaeolithic and Mesolithic) in the Norfolk Historic Environment Record for researchers and to inform planning decisions. Its main aims were: 1. Historic Environment Record enhancement 2. To Incorporate new material 3. Develop planning guidance and protocols 4. Outreach and engagement Please note the project was commissioned prior to the separation of English Heritage and Historic England. Thus where the name English Heritage is used it refers to functions now carried out by Historic England. Specialists from Norfolk County Council carried out this commissioned research.
