This audit of submerged palaeolandscapes and sites of the Palaeolithic and Mesolithic periods in England's inshore and offshore waters was carried out by Wessex Archaeology on behalf of English Heritage. It forms part of the work of the National Heritage Protection Plan Activity on Unknown Marine Assets and Landscapes. This report is aimed at raising awareness of palaeolandscapes among a wider audience of professionals dealing with the historic environment, beyond palaeoenvironmental specialists.
