Description

The Prince Edward public house was taken over by Henry Cuthbert some time between 1878 and 1881. Directories of 1878 show James Johnson as the landlord, but by the 1881 Census Henry Cuthbert and his family are living at the address. The image show's Cuthbert's name being painted over the pub door, suggesting that it was taken soon after he became the landlord of the Prince Edward.
